Last updated: 28 February 2025  |  Effective date: 28 February 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by Golden Crane. By enquiring about, booking, or entering into any residential arrangement with Golden Crane, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry, booking an introduction stay, or signing a residency agreement, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the person whose residency you are arranging. These terms apply to all interactions with Golden Crane.

3. Service Description

Golden Crane is a residential home for elderly persons operating under the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Ordinance of Hong Kong. We provide non-medical residential accommodation, daily meals, companionship support, and structured activities. We do not provide clinical, nursing, or medical care of any kind.

4. Eligibility

Golden Crane's services are suited to seniors who are largely independent in their daily living and who do not require clinical supervision. We reserve the right to assess suitability and decline or conclude an arrangement where the level of care required exceeds what we are able to provide.

5. Residential Arrangements and Fees

Homestead Residency

The fee covers the private room, three daily meals, laundry, room upkeep, and care companion support. Additional personal services may be arranged separately and will be agreed in writing before commencement.

Creative Mornings Group

Three mornings per week, monthly subscription. The monthly fee is HK$1,720, payable in advance. All materials are provided. No commitment beyond the current month is required unless otherwise agreed.

Two-Week Introduction Stay

A fourteen-day residential visit. The fee is HK$7,500, payable in full prior to commencement. The fee covers the room, all meals, participation in activities, and care companion support during the stay. No further obligation follows unless a subsequent arrangement is separately agreed.

6. Payment Terms

7. Cancellation and Termination

By the resident or family

For Homestead Residency, one calendar month's written notice is required to terminate the arrangement. Fees paid for the notice period are non-refundable. For Creative Mornings, the arrangement may be ended with two weeks' written notice. The Two-Week Introduction Stay fee is non-refundable once the stay has commenced.

By Golden Crane

We may terminate a residential arrangement with appropriate notice where the resident's care needs exceed our capacity, where there has been a material breach of these terms, or where the arrangement is no longer suitable for the individual's wellbeing. We will provide families with as much notice as reasonably possible and will assist in identifying alternative arrangements.

8. Resident Responsibilities

9. Medical Responsibility

Golden Crane does not provide medical, nursing, or clinical services. Families are responsible for arranging any healthcare the resident requires. In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact emergency services and the nominated family contact immediately.

10. Intellectual Property

11. Disclaimers

Our services are provided with care and professionalism. However, Golden Crane does not make any representations or warranties about specific outcomes for individual residents. Residential care is a personal and varied experience, and results will differ for each person.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Hong Kong law, Golden Crane's liability to residents, families, or website users is limited to the fees paid for the relevant arrangement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our services or website.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Golden Crane against any claims arising from misrepresentation of information provided during the enquiry or residency process, or from actions taken contrary to these terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong. We encourage resolution of any concerns through direct communication before any formal proceedings.

15. Amendments
